Barak

Barak grew up in Kibbutz Ginosar, located on the sea of Galilee. His inner peace and humbleness always reflected on his surroundings. He was a true and unique athlete, coach and reliable business owner. It was in one single moment when the peace and inner silence that characterized him turned into a loud, dark storm after the terrorist murdered him in the center of Tel Aviv, leaving Dana and their 3 little kids without their father for life.

The Night of the Attack

On Thursday, April 7th, 2022, Barak left home and took a bus to Tel Aviv to meet with his childhood friends from the kibbutz. He hadn’t ordered his drink yet when a terrorist began shooting indiscriminately at a Dizengoff bar, killing two young civilians (Eitam Megini and Tomer Morad, RIP) and wounding dozens more, including Barak, who suffered severe injuries. Barak, an athlete, was physically strong and fought valiantly for his life in the hospital. Despite receiving the utmost care from some of the best surgeons and doctors, Barak eventually succumbed to his wounds after an uphill battle.
